I have a question, I want to make up a directory in my website and everyone can submit their link to my directory free without link back. Will my website improve pagerank or get reputation without link back or inbound like this. Please help me out if you can
sure why not, more people come back when you offer free links without linkbacks, just make sure you don't approve everything thats spam.
If your site is about autos... then make a directory thats about autos to complement your site and yes it will help you as well as those niche auto sites asking for inclussion. thx malcolm
WEll depends what ur site is on. If it's a portal, like yahoo, excite, rediff then sure. If it's a commercial site like americaneagle or ice.com then I'd agree with lohan there, and u might be better off starting a directory on another domain.
make a niche directory related to your site content .. and try to include authorative sites to it (useful for visitors) and not only the ones u get submissions for.
Yes really a directory related to your niche will really get more visitors to your site & your site will have more pages indexed in your site, which will again help you to get more pages of your site to be indexed.
Having a relevent directory with many listings could help you in a long run. It will add more content rich pages to your site at the sametime will bring you much needed traffic. I would not recommend a general directory on a niche website.
