Why should a 14 year old child be punished ? Because she was raped ? Because the local authorities where to incompetent to save her life and to corrupt to tell the truth ? Because her parents where to weak to protect her ?

Perhaps the lesson we can take from your post is the same one we can take from Mystic91s. No matter what the US does, there will be some group of people out there making up facts and calling us evil. If an imam says a 14 year old child should be beaten to such an extent that it later kills her for the crime of getting herself raped, what would you think of that? Would that imam be wrong, or would that be a justified response to child rape (to beat the child to death after she got raped)?

Let's assume it hasn't happened, i'm just wondering what your position would be should it have happened.
