Muslims Students Beat Professor and Wife for Refusing to Convert to Islam

Christian Professor in Pakistan Beaten for Refusing to Convert

PESHAWAR, Pakistan, June 25 (CDN) — Muslim students attacked a Christian professor at Peshawar University College this month after he refused their demand to convert to Islam, the instructor told Compass.

Psychology professor Samuel John, a father of four who has been teaching at the college, located in Hayatabad, Peshawar, for 12 years, said that as he came out of his house on the campus of the private college at 8:30 a.m. on June 14, about 20 to 25 students rushed and assaulted him.

“I shouted for help, but no one came to help,” he said.

When his wife learned what was happening, she ran to help him, but the students beat her as well. Both John and his wife were rushed to Lady Reading hospital, where they were treated for their injuries, with John listed in critical condition.

“I am still getting threats,” the professor told Compass. “They say, ‘Leave the university or accept Islam – if you don’t convert, we will kill your family.”

Police have refused to register a First Information Report on the incident, he said.

Of course not. If the police actually took reports about incidents like this, it would drive up hate crime and spousal abuse statistics for Muslims. We all know it is the religion of peace, so lets leave statistics of violence for the US.

NO dude, i am just trying my best to dont take part in such topics where the religion is discussed, because i have noticed that the members who takes take part in religion threads are not following any religion. for me replying to those who has no respect for any religion, faith is totally use less.

But i am and other Muslims members will be happy to read the post of "alexispetrov" finally we make at least one members to realized that Islam does not support to impose your religion to other.

 

It's not us you need to convince, it's the millions of Muslims who support terrorism. Convince them and we will notice.

 

I've written some OK posts lately about not all Muslims being this way, and many being against the atrocities committed against women and children in the name of Islam.

It is not the job of the person citing articles like this to add the disclaimer (*not all Muslims are like this). If more Muslims were willing to join in on threads like this, condemning the activities in no uncertain terms, the fact that all Muslims are not like this would be obvious. Instead, the response from Muslims on threads like this is always defensive of Muslims(not all Muslims are like this), and offensive towards the person reporting the news(why are you pointing out the offenses of Muslims). This culture of fear is something that has caught on with many non-Muslims in the west. One should never apologize or nuance for speaking out against evil, regardless of whether or not it implicates your religion.

 

The fact that they want to convert him is more than enough to show that they are blindly attached to their religion. But What if he does convert? Will he be living as faithful Muslim knowing that he made the right choice? What sort of an example are they giving other than the vicious mentality of Islam?

“Fight those who do not believe in Allah or the Last Day, who do not forbid that which has been forbidden by Allah and His Messenger, or acknowledge the Religion of Truth (Islam), (even if they are) People of the Book (Christians and Jews), until they pay the Jizyah tribute tax in submission, feeling themselves subdued and brought low.”

 

If that really happened, those students should goto jail for their crime.

But

There is no University by the name of "Peshawar University College" in city of Peshawar (complete list of colleges and universities in Peshawar).

However there is University of Peshawar and this is their Psychology department page (Former faculty members are also listed there). There is no Professor Samuel John listed.

Only mention of "Peshawar University College" on Google is either from CDN or sites getting feed from CDN and now DP. This raise very serious doubts on the credibility of your source, Will. Looks like a hate site to me.

 

I am confused, why did you refers the ayaat of Quran which belong to Jazya (Capital tax)?

Actually, the University has addressed the rumor directly. It would seem the primary site carrying the news is http://www.compassdirect.org, which appears to be less than a credible source, baring further evidence. Now why is it I can admit that, yet you guys cook up bullshit stories about actors on CNN committing atrocities to make Islam look bad?

Actions by Idiots are considered personal and Don't express Islam by anyway . And Most of / All other verses in Quran which speak about killing non believers are speaking about Defending yourselves , and how to deal with your enemy in the battlefield and I know many verses which tells not to attack anybody except if he attacked us but I can't remember them now . And I guess that every (sura) in Quran has a Reason for coming ( I can't post accurate words ) .

And ok , I guess (but not sure ) there was a verse which says Keep fighting unless they convert to Islam , That doesn't mean to go and kill people and stop after they convert , Actually not , It means if your enemy surrendered and decided to be Muslims then Don't fight them .
