Islam was the first to give women equal rights I challenge anybody here to show else, some here who post bad mouthing Muslims, hold beliefs that tell the women to completely shut up, even if she has an important question, and some other beliefs ask while wondering "how can a woman own?!" I would not try to kill the argument, it's fun sometimes to watch their hypocrisy, but if anybody wants a quote, just ask...

are you saying there is no belief that tells women to shut up, and that there is no belief who asks "how can a woman own?"

or are you saying that nobody who bad mouth Muslims here holds any of these two beliefs?

the first is Christianity, which tells women to shut up:

"As in all the congregations of the saints, women should remain silent in the churches. They are not allowed to speak, but must be in submission as the law says. If they want to inquire about something, they should ask their own husbands at home; for it is disgraceful for a woman to speak in the church." (I Corinthians 14:34-35)

the second is Judaism, which asks how can a woman own?

"How can a woman have anything; whatever is hers belongs to her husband? What is his is his and what is hers is also his...... Her earnings and what she may find in the streets are also his. The household articles, even the crumbs of bread on the table, are his. Should she invite a guest to her house and feed him, she would be stealing from her husband..." (San. 71a, Git. 62a)

I'm not going to defend christianity, it's as primitive and barbaric as islam is. Those criticising islam were atheists though, They don't believe in the bible.
