I am considering selling my brand new music website

    www.80sJams.com

I would like to get offers and evaluate wheter to sell or hold on to it.

All songs are included with website.

I reserve the right not to sell. There is no BIN

    mp3 player is $30

sites only been up for 3 days not enough traffic to effect bandwidth

mp3 are like having image files on your site they are pretty condensed

    Hey Kmayen,

Pretty cool site actually. I'm sitting here listening to some jams!

Any legal issues with storing songs on your site?

I'm not sure about legality these are songs that you own that you are sharing. They are not for download or sale in anyway.

Very nice concept. How does it work, do you have the right to the music ? Or is it the same as web radios, I suppose they can play what they want.

I hate to be a wet towel but I can't see how this would be legal. Radio stations and internet radio pay licensing fees to play music.

I really have no clue about the legality. But it is music sharing, you cannot download the songs. Also the songs are almost 20 years old.

The age of the songs doesnt matter as long as they are not more than 50 years old, I think thats the limit for the rights.

Are really web radios paying to broadcast ?

Very risky, i'd do more research before putting this site up for sale. Nice site though.

Check out Wimpy player guys, they have a showcase section to their site wimpy player showcase with many examples of this concept.

One of my favs is Kevins iTunes library. This guy has literally hundreds of albums on his site I have personally enjoyed it for over a year (although compression seems to of increased as quality is not as good as it used to be) been up for ages and no signs of him being shut down and this is an extreme example of what kmayen is offering so I wouldn't be too worried about legal issues myself.

I have used the wimpy button before it is great for playing single tracks but you can do some great stuff design wise with the Wimpy Player. http://homepage.mac.com/kevin/itunes/
