I'm making a website for mobile phones Im thinking about putting the following content and want know if they are legal or not? 3gp music videos ringtones 3gp movie trailers themes wallpaper if i host them on my server for free am i breaking the law?
Ofcourse it's not legal to host other peoples intellectual property such as melodies, vidoes or even wallpapers which often are copyrighted photos/work. You need to buy a license to resell such material.
Whats the difference? You still earn money on their intellectual property regardless. Stealing stuff and giving it away doesn't make the stealing part any less.

im not too sure about licensing. (it'll definatly cost a lot though). Most myspace video code sites link to videos on a completely different server to avoid illegalities although I think this is still an infringement.
