    This script automatically crawls yahoo and other video sites for music videos and adds them to categories (music genres) on your website. Since all the videos are hosted on other sites you need not worry about high bandwidth or copyright issues. The entire site is fully customizable from a very user-friendly admin area. This script allows your visitors to easily add music videos to their myspace profiles and blogs in which you can include links back to your site and/or ads. This script is fully automated and updates the music video database when new videos go online and old videos disappear. This script offers great SEO methods to generate traffic and maximize profits.

    The admin area allows you to:

    Manage Videos/Edit/Delete/Add
    Manage Users
    Manager Artist Images
    Manage Frontpage (Videos)
    Manage Requests

    This is a custom coded script and unique to that of others found online.

    Some quick questions:

    1. Can you tell us all the video sites this site crawls for content? And how is the crawling done for new videos?
    2. How does the script determine when videos are no longer available/playable? Is it done via cron? What is the essential methology? (i.e. if the URL of the source site was unreachable, I assume it wouldn't drop the video from the database)
    3. Are new artists added to the database automatically via discovery as well as the manual options? Or do you manually need to add them before videos will be sourced?

    The short dirty is that the script goes through an update process every few minutes if it detects a new hash is needed. The index file has an includes update.php file that is pulled with each load, and this update.php file is verified from Yahoo to ensure the latest update is working. This of course relates to how fast Yahoo responds with queries and when it's not "cache" from the mysql query. Everything is setup by default to run completely automatically including adding new artists/videos/etc as soon as they are added to yahoo..but you can manually add videos through the db or hack the raw code if you want to add say youtube videos..

    You will get the entire source so you can easily hack the code to your needs or you can just keep it the way it is (the sky is endless with this script)...the template is super easy to change with basic html/css knowledge...Even if you don't know much about websites this installs easy and runs on auto...
