I need a program that'll let me tell it what notes to play, and it play it.

I need it to be able to play a piano, organ, guitar, etc. Just the basic instruments. I'm going to make background music for my dad. He makes native american style flutes and wants me to make him a CD, but he wants background music with it, and I SUCK at playing the paino!

    Thanks all!

Also, if you're a Linux user, I believe Hydrogen will do what you want; this has the advantage of being completely free. :)

Fruity Loops is good. Reason and Garageband are also good for making music relatively easy.
