    Hi there,

Does Google allow people to use a music bands name in the ad text?

If not, can I still bid on the keyword itself but not display it in the ad text?

    Thanks!

    Hey

The only thing I can suggest is that you include the name... run it and see if Google have any problems with it... some bands may have copyrighted it and Google wont allow it whilst some will be happy with the extra exposure...

And, yes, the last time I did this you could bid on the keyword even if you couldnt display it in your ad... people cannot claim copyrights on keywords... they can on ad text as far as I am led to believe.

Again, the last time I did similar was a year or so back so rules may be different now.

    Cheers

In the USA & Canada if a TM holder complains Google will prevent you from using the TM in the ad text but will not prevent you from bidding on it.
