I have a large collection of Music Albums in different languages. I just want to upload it to some File Sharing Websites like Rapidshare, Mediafire and provide a download link for those albums in my website with all information related to that album. Now the question is that whether it is legal or not. If it is not legal, then what kind of permission should i get to do this and from whom?
If you DO NOT HOST the music on your servers and DO NOT SELL THEM you are not breaking any laws anywhere. But if you do host them and do sell them you need to speak to a lawyer to get all the documents you will need to file.
You are not allowed to upload or share music albums or softwares without the permission of original author. Rapidshare and other file hosting services will delete you files on a copyright claim or using automatic detection system.
