Okay, been awhile since I posted here but I have a question. As it stands now we have 5 URL's pointed at the same content, i.e. http://www.url.com/content/ http://www.url.us/content/ http://www.url.biz/content/ http://www.url.org/content/ http://www.url.net/content/ These all resolve to the exact same content. Should I setup this up to 301 redirect on everything to the .com/content they are searching for using mod_rewrite or some other tool. Or is there a better way to handle these old URL's that need to stay in place.
I think you have to make 301 redirection to your main domain the same content for deferent domains may causing problems for Google
That is exactly what I am concerned about, but this has been in place for so long that I don't want to "rock the boat" so to speak.
If the content is in a small niche, there is no need for you to 301 them. This will works like those article directories. The "duplicate content punishment" is not affecting you in those small niche. However if you are afraid, just 301 them.
