Hi, I have been running adsense on my website for a few months now. I have another completely different website that I would like to put adsense on, exactly how do I do this ? Do I add the second website as a channel ?

Also, lets say I have 2 websites now - are the earnings i make for each individual websites combined ?..Or do the checks come seperately ?

Just put the ads on your other site and let Google do the rest. It's a good idea to use different channels so that you can monitor performance. Earnings are combined so you would get one check.

Just make sure the site conforms with AdSense's TOS. If not you could risk losing your AdSense account which would mean for both/all sites.

Thanks for the help, I added my second website as a 'active url channel'. Seems like everything is going correctly, I hope it is.

Channels are optional but it's a good idea to use them. Channels just help you track where the money is coming from.

You might want to use custom channels instead, especially if you have more than one Adsense ad on your site.

Each site should have a channel.

No ..Not each site should have a channel.

Each AD must have a channel. So you can watch individual ad ranking, and see how you can improve the click rate :)

How do you set up each ad having a channel?? That would be very useful but I can't see how to do it.

Just create a channel before you create each ad, then when you create the ad assign it to the channel. :)

Thanks for all the help and tips.

But heres my problem now. So far I've created a second website and I added it as a channel (not custom). But I get the same amount of clicks on both websites and the same amount of earnings as well. Keep in mind these are two completely different websites with two completely different topics.

so is this normal ? am I doing something wrong ?

When you view your adsense raport, please choose (from the right) the correct channel.

Maybe you chose the aggregate data option :)
