Ok so I'm developing a gaming network and I'm starting with one game, we'll refer to that game name as "Widget".

I have a central primary site that has everything to do with the game widget, it has pages specifically targeted towards keywords like "widget movies" / "widget screenshots" / "widget wallpapers" etc... Well, I decided to purchase 9 keyword domains like: "widgetwallpapers.com, widgetscreenshots.com, widgetmovies.com" etc... And my plan is to just make them a couple page sites that focus specifically on what their name suggests.

Here's my question, would I be better off just sticking to focusing on building links and content to just my main widget game site so that all the links are pointed to a central location (and therefore help the rest of the site out), or is it not a bad idea to "SEO" not only my main widget game site, but the keyword sites as well?

Also, regarding linking between them, I was told it's fine if I link to them all from the main widget site, but not inbetween them or back to the main widget site. Does this sound correct?

Anyhow, my initial intention with purchasing the kw domains would be to ensure i secure positions on all the big terms, and I believe(d) that the kw domains would help.

    Thanks.
