Multiple sites aimed at same keywords

    If you created 10 websites all on the same or similar subject and optimised a page on each website for the same keyword, would it be possible to dominate the first page of google for that particular keyword?

    Obviously taking into account that each website would have unique content, etc. and correct seo techniques were used.

    Is this theoretically possible, or would google prevent this type of situation from happening?

    anything is possible. If you optimised each site well and they all had tailored content, that was not duplicated then yes this would be acheivable, but I don't know anyone who has tried it. Perhaps you should give it a go and report back.

    You should use different registrars for the domain names, and different or private domain holder names.

    You should not interlink the sites.

    Yes it is possible but very unlikely to happen. As Google consider to many things when it comes to SERPs, and ranking 10 sites in the top 10, very unlikely to happen but it is possible.

    it is possible, I have know someone who have many sites ranking int top10 on the same keyword(but not all 10). it still depend on your SEO strategy and effort.
