Multiple server, hosting public_htmls as membername.domain.com

    So I'm an admin of my college's computing society and we've recently upgraded our server capacity from one to 3. Our plan is to have one server hosting all their files and the rest, one to have as a webserver and the last to be a gaming / training server.

    This usen't be a problem, because we were able to use
    <Directory "/home/*/public_html">
    Options Indexes MultiViews FollowSymLinks
    AllowOverride None
    Order allow,deny
    Allow from all
    </Directory>
    in the apache.conf file, but we obviously can't any more, because the users home directory is on another machine.

    We'd now like to change directory to have membername.domainname.com to point to that public_html folder, but we've no idea how to currently do it. We're in charge of our dns and binds, so any changes there that might need to be made, we can make them but we're just not sure how.

    Any and all help would be greatly appreciated, thanks guys.

    So if you like users homes to be on another server why not to let this server to server their websites?
    You can put this "users" server on another port of your webserver.

    Thanks for the reply, vasyl, but I don't fully understand what you mean. I'll try clarify our setup and what we want;

    The webserver is a powerful server, which will be the Apache, MySQL and other server services server.

    The users server isn't anywhere near as powerful, but it has huge storage, which everyones homes are in.

    We then do have another server, but that's not online, it only serves as a backup machine.
