I am designing a Dental clinic software with ASP
    http://users3.titanichost.com/upm903/db/Dental.asp

Need to make a questionaire to patients. Dropdown menus to be used with Multiple Selection.
Now I need to have an update menu where the Doctor can retreive a patient and amend the values (Multiple) entered thru the dropdown menu earlier. So I just need a coded sample on that.
Do you suggest having every selected field in the Main Database ? could be up to 30 Selected options (allergies, diseases, etc.) or put them on a separate file? was thinking of 1 field and have them concatenated.

The 2 fileds I need to updat are XDEN and XMED.
Your views will be highly Appreciated

Look in URL after Question 11 in Dental History and after Question 7 in Medical History, That is where the subject dropdown menus are. try to add a patient then try to update .

Really need to know the rest of the interactions with the field/ data but from a high level I would most likely have a separate table with 3 columns: OptionID (Int, Ident, PK), PatientID (whatever your using, FK) & OptionSel (nvarchar)... alternatively you could also drive the list of options by a db table too in which case the OptionSel would change to OptionID and may well be another foreign key.
