I think its for sites that are authority on a subject.... I laugh every time someone asks this question. If people in a public forum knew how to do it and the information was readily available...why don't you see it on more sites?
Well, I didn't think you could it easily, but maybe there are some things you can do to get this kind of results. isn't this what SEO is about? finding out how to get search engines to display our pages in the best way possible? I mean, we all spend a good amount of time generating metatags, content, backlinks, etc. Why shouldn't there be a way to produce this kind of results, albeit difficult?
No. it is the gift from google for those high quality and trusted websites. DP also got similar information on google search result. see it yourself XD
I'm sure its a fairly random test of one google experimental results. I have seen it before on sites that I certainly would not expect to be trusted. It seems to come and go (A bit like related links at the bottom of the search screen that I have recently seen).
Google has it's own ways of attracting the public, many of which remain a mistery... I guess the 600 programmers there found a way.
It's called Sitelinks & u'll have to be considered as expert on the subject + have unique name. U'll often see sitelinks while searching for big companies names.

Nachsohn, thanks for the information. As your link points, there may be a way to do this in the future. That would be great. Green rep for useful information.
