I found this search on google:

    http://www.google.com/search?source=ig&hl=en&q=buying+a+star

    it gives back this results:
International Star Registry: Name a StarName a Star - International Star Registry (R) Pick name of your choice. Buy a star name an ideal gift for: Birthdays, Christmas and Mothers Day.
    www.starregistry.com/ - 11k - Cached - Similar pages - Note this

    Name a Star - www.starregistry.com/catalog/dspProduct.cfm?prod=starkit
    International Star Registry - ... - www.starregistry.com/isrOrder/dspItem...
    Contact Us - www.starregistry.com/contactus.cfm
    More results from www.starregistry.com »

How do they get to list 3 additional results plus the "More results..." link?

I would love my sites to get listed this way.
    Any ideas?

I think its for sites that are authority on a subject....

I laugh every time someone asks this question. If people in a public forum knew how to do it and the information was readily available...why don't you see it on more sites?

Well, I didn't think you could it easily, but maybe there are some things you can do to get this kind of results.

isn't this what SEO is about? finding out how to get search engines to display our pages in the best way possible?

I mean, we all spend a good amount of time generating metatags, content, backlinks, etc.
Why shouldn't there be a way to produce this kind of results, albeit difficult?

Hey isn't this because the webmaster submitted a site map to Google?

I'm sure its a fairly random test of one google experimental results. I have seen it before on sites that I certainly would not expect to be trusted.

It seems to come and go (A bit like related links at the bottom of the search screen that I have recently seen).

Google has it's own ways of attracting the public, many of which remain a mistery... I guess the 600 programmers there found a way.
