Not sure if this has been suggested before but it seems like the marketplace is getting rather crowded, especially the sites section. What if we had some sections split up by going price eg. Sites Under $1000 Sites $1001-3000 Sites $3001-5000 Sites $5001+ or some other form of price categories. Or perhaps divide the section by age? New Sites < 6 months >6 months - 2 years 2+ years This would keep all the clutter of new/junk sites in their own category. What do you think?
No, I think the way it is setup right now is fine. I can handle looking through the listings. I like it the way it is. When SP changed theirs I thought it was a huge mistake. "If it ain't broke, don't fix it!"
No? Take a look again at the times that sites were posted... they get booted back pages FAST unless it's a established site.
Exactly...and then there's the issue of people not putting enough info when they sell a site so you get a bunch of bumps on useless sites that are just like can we see stats can we see that, do you do this, etc.. How many times do you see a sales post like: I am selling mysite.com , this is an auction, my site is worth millions. the end of my sales thread which is followed by 12 posts of: "can we see stats", "me too please" Perfect example: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=282373 This thread is going to sit on the front page for days until 18 people figure out how he came to the $5283.79 figure. Also when you try and play nice and provide all the possible info in your sales thread so you don't get asked repetitive questions you get buried quick times.
Yep, would be much better off with a sales format similar to SP, where all relevant details are given in original post (-the fees).
