Between the three scenarios which would be better:

What I’m attempting to accomplish is multiple positions under the same keyword.
Example: User types in “keyword” via Google search.
    Positions 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 are filled in with www.desiredwebsite.com

    Scenario 1:
5 Ecommerce sites hosted on 1 server
With 5 “SEO SITES” (Web Directory, Forums, Affiliate Sites, Blogs) Hosted each on their own servers (different IPS) linking back to each of the 5 ecommerce sites.

    Scenario 2:
5 Ecommerce sites hosted on different servers ( 1 IP per ecommerce site)
With 5 “SEO SITES” (Web Directory, Forums, Affiliate Sites, Blogs) Hosted each on their own servers (different IPS) linking back to each of the 5 ecommerce sites.

    Scenario 3:
5 Ecommerce sites hosted on different servers ( 1 IP per ecommerce site)
With 5 “SEO SITES” (Web Directory, Forums, Affiliate Sites, Blogs) Hosted each on the same server (same IPS) linking back to each of the 5 ecommerce sites.

Thanks for the help, having difficulty trying to figure out the best way to go about doing this.

Top spot typically gets over 40% of traffic so wont you be wasting effort trying to get positions 2 through 5 as well?
