    Hi,

Hope this is not to dumb a question as its my first on DP!

I have an oppurtunity to put many links on one pr7 domain to my website. Will it make much of a difference to my ranking if I publish loads of articles on this site or am I better off spending my time try to get a wider variety of sites.

The links do go get linked on the front page for a while but then disappear back into the site.

    Any help or guidance appreciated.

PR is not by domain, it is by page. So, the home page may be a PR 7 but the others pages won't be. And you only get PR from pages that your links appear on (assuming they aren't blocking PR).

Thanks for the response, would you mind telling me how would I tell if they were blocking PR?

    check the robots.txt file -- domain.com/robots.txt

also check for nofollow tags in the URL -- view source then Ctrl + F & look for 'nofollow' (minus ' s)

stymiee is correct, PR is by page, not site so if they create a new page for your article then it will have 0PR -- HOWEVER because the site has such high PR then in no time at all the PR will filter and you'll gain some PR yourself.

Personally I'd jump at the chance to have links on a PR7 site - because it must have a high PR for a reason (IE lots of people like it and link to it) so maybe think more in terms of the quality visitors it'll bring you.

    Write the articles now!!!!

Thanks, for that. I do understand the nofollow (which does not apply in this case) I thought the way is was stated that there was something I did not know about, new meta tag or something!

    Thanks for your help.

He wants you to give him 'reputation'. By clicking on the [IMG] button next to their post and selecting 'I Approve' you give them 'positive reputation'. Reputation is reflected by the green dots by your post count. The higher it is, the cooler you think you are. It is supposed to be good form to give positive reputation to someone who helps you.

What they also don't realize is that you are too new to give reputation yet so they are being a 'rep whore' for nothing. :)
