Lets say I want to rank for Cat Food and Cat Chow. I realize its good to vary my anchor text. But would it be ok to have some anchor text that says: Cat Chow / Cat Food etc.etc. ?
I would go to the format Cat Food: Cat Chow, ... Put the highest keyword traffic first and the next ~3-4 next.
Try to make it look as non-spammy as possible, but otherwise it's okay to have both key phrases in your backlinks once in a while.
Mix it up between your submissions. Like the following: "Cat Food", "Cheap Cat Food", "Healthy Cat Food", "Cat Food for Older Cats", etc. Of course, you'll want to do some research on which terms are searched for in the search engines and tailor your keyword to them. Do the same types of thing for "Cat Chow". You don't need to have the exact keyword phrase in every submission. Just having the basic phrase as a part of the anchor text is good enough to boost the basic phrase.
In my opinion, you can use several keywords, you know, people use different words to search what they want, enough keywords could improve the odds that they click your web.
hi! in my opinion you can use any words that can relate to the word "cat". and words that you think people will search for it. be experimental in mixing up keywords for your site. =)
