There are lots of guides online (including here at Digital Point) for pointing multiple domains at a single website. But I'm not sure that they fully address my situation. If I currently have a messageboard hosted at oldname.com/forums, how can I get my other domain newname.com not only pointing here (without the need for /forums in the URL), but fully functioning simultaneously? That is to say, the following URLs would be interchangeable: http://oldname.com/forums/photo.jpg http://newname.com/photo.jpg So if you went to oldname.com/forums/index.php (keeping this in the browser's address bar) and it contained the following, it would still display properly: <img src="http://newname.com/photo.jpg" /> I understand the negative search engine implications of maintaining this setup full-time, but it's only a temporary measure that will be removed before any links to newname.com would be indexed. I basically want both addresses to work at the same time for a short while, before oldname.com/forums is phased out. Has anyone done this, or is there a common solution? Thanks.
