Helo ppl.. I'm new guy here.. great forum. I have a dilemma. I want to publish 3 similar sites, each one for different language. I also have 3 good domains for each of them (.com, .ru, .de). Is it better to make 3 separate sites for each domain or should I keep everything under one home page and have all three domains point to same nameserver? I want main keywords for each language to do well in google and my niche is very small, atleast the keywords are cheap and not searched massively. In either case I have to work with three separate sites because the structure is somewhat different, number of articles is different etc. so if I keep them under one home page it would be still three sites, in their folders, three databases etc The main question is does having three different domains pointing to same nameserver have an impact on serps. Can someone with more seo experience elaborate?
Well, I have the same experience and faced the same problem. I've done it "3 domains to one site in 3 langauges", but I'm really disapppointed in it. I'd better make 3 sites in 3 langauges, cause you'll have 3 different sites and you could do SEO for each of them. Search engines will take them as 3 different sites, which they won't in case of pointing 3 domains to the same site.
Thank you very much I have some more questions now.. Shoud I link between those sites? Ofourse since those are different languages the content is totaly different, but there are few words each site will be filled with. I have no control over this since those are the names of few small towns but those are also my important keywords, or part of keywords. The templates are the same, each site is on same CMS. On top of that I was about to have them on same server which probably means similar IPs, not same but definitely similar. Is there a possibility of SE punishment? I would say small but still I'm wondering. I would do whatever it takes for this one so if I have to host with different webhosts and not link between them I would do so. thanks in advance this forum is great
If you have only 3 sites, then I think you shouldn't worry, espacially if you have good content. I don't think Google will consider this something wrong .
