Multiple domains per hosting account?

Say you have a wallpaper site on an account with DreamHost. Now you want to start a completely unrelated site, say an iphone unlocking site, but use the same hosting account. What do you do?

For the longest time I thought that was what an Add-On domain does...but now I'm not so sure. Can anyone shed some light on when you use an add-on domain, and what you would do if you want a completely different site on the same hosting account?

    Thanks in advance!

You just setup an ad-on domain. It will look like a sub-domain when you create it, but that is how you set up a completely different site. Just don't inter-link the sites to try and pass PR. Google assumes sites on the same ip share a common ownership and it isn't a "natural" vote for the site.

See that's what I thought...but I tried installing Wordpress on the 2nd domain, but when I ran the wp install, it didn't work.

It worked when I installed it on the first domain.
