I suggest you build a site around it and the value could be how much you are willing to negotiate with MS on TM issues. If you are good I would say XX,XXX or else ICANN will give it back to MS.
I have a terrible fear micro soft would step in. Last I saw they had 2091 trademarks copy written Surface was not one of them Unfortunatly ms is I wouldnt touch them or the apple. Palm could be generic but I wouldnt touch that one as well. Sorry just my opinion
I would say, develop a quick site and sell it. Because trademark issues make them worthless - Ask the guy that owned MikeRoweSoft.com - the guy's real name (Michael Rowe) he develops game software-yet MS took him to court and needless to say he lost :-/

There is always someone that would buy it but I would not do it. I would sell it for reg fee if you can get it but then theres a question of ethics.
Not really, if you play with fire as they say, you will get burned. I didn't think about TM issues so ethics aren't even issue if I need to get it off of my hands.
