I have found a new domain name that I eventually want to use as the exclusive name of one of my sites. In the meantime I do not want to loose any of my traffic to the existing domain name. So, my plan is to have two domain names pointing to the same IP address. The sight has many very high ranking keyword positions and generates significant income form AdSense. All of sudden I began to ask myself what effect if any might there be with the search engines or AdSense. Has anyone had any experience, either positive or negative with such a strategy?
To avoid duplicate content problem do a 301 (permanent redirect) from well indexed url to new url you want to use. Look in your control panel and see if there is a redirect option available. Good luck. Shannon
