:confused:I am new to CJ and i have started to used Ad Words (SEM) to market. I see there are several affiliates like me having ads displayed to same product , so i wanted to clarify for the following questions ? any help would be appreciated.

    1) if someone clicks the first ad-1 and then comes back and searches again and clicks the ad-2 and makes a sale , in this case who is the winner ad-1 or ad-2 affiliate ?

    2) I know CJ uses cookies to track , based on my technology knowledge , cookies are overwritten from the last web page visit , which mean ad-2 affiliate will win in the above example, if not please explain ?

    3) If possible how general sales are tracked , when people visit the same product site through different means , adwords, banners, etc ?

Last click gets the cookie. Some advertisers attribute last channel click (search, affiliate, banner) to get credit, while others simply work on last affiliate click and don't consider other channels.

so is it safe to say that don;t have ur ads listed at the top #1 instead #3,4 would be a better bet to get a sale ? as i guess people tend to look atleast 1-3 choices before they buy ?

In CJ, the last clicked ad is the valid one - advertisers can not change this logic.

You may track sale origin by using SID tags on links. Search the forums for more information about SID tags.
