Hiya I started a site in July and joined you guys in learning how GoogleAds can drive traffic to it. Its all been going rather well (thanks in part to the info I've found on this forum!). Now I want to start another site which is targeting the same market as my first, but with a slight twist. However I can use many of the same keywords so therefore have a head start by re-using a lot of work I've already done for my first site. Obviously this means that I'll be in competition with myself....so what's the best strategy for this? Do you just make sure that you bid a penny less on all keywords that span across Campaign 1 and Campaign 2? Also...are you allowed by Google to have multiple campaigns for multiple sites? Any advice would be well received! Many thanks...
Hello, When you have ad groups or campaigns that overlap then Google will only ever show one, and when it shows each campaign is done on a rotation bases. They should never come under competition with each other in any particular search. When you say multiple campaigns for multiple sites, can you please elaborate? Hi Joe...thanks for replying. To answer your question, lets say I have www.site1.com and I have a campaign 'Site1' which has a number of ad groups within it...they all push traffic to Site1. I'm now launching www.site2.com which has a very similar target audience to Site1 so I'm hoping I can set up a new Campaign 'Site2' which will have a number of ad groups within it to help push traffic to Site2. Campaigns Site1 and Site2 will share the same keywords and push traffic to their respective sites. Does that sound OK? Thanks
