Multiple Adwords Accounts + How close and remove credit card info?

Discussion in 'Google AdWords' started by pieman_fellis, Jul 2, 2006.

Long story so I’ll keep it brief.

I originally advertised with Adwords back when it all begun. I then had some trouble with certain keywords. Not fully understanding the system I soon managed to get banned from using this account.

Learning from my errors I then started another account. This account did not work. I tried opening another. Each time I tried different credit cards yet they all managed to be ‘declined’. I gave up.

Three years on, forgetting about the above I opened another account for a new project. My credit card was again ‘declined’.

I then setup another account and this worked but only for a day or so. I then emailed Google Adwords from this account to receive this email:

"Your Google AdWords accounts have been suspended due to multiple disapprovals... We are unable to revoke your account suspension and we will not accept advertisements from you in the future. Please note that our support team is unable to help you with this issue
and we ask that you do not contact them about this matter"

I do not get this, I only opened this account 5 days ago and never had any disapprovals. I have never overlapped advertising different sites and domains, no ads for prohibited stuff porn, gambling etc. Either way, why the unethical harsh tone and poor business sense?

I now believe this whole problem has occurred due to the issue with the first keyword in the first account.

I presume this Google is linking my details to each of the other accounts, right? Does anyone know what info they use to do this so I can start a new account without them knowing it is me?

I tried to close my accounts to no avail. They only allow you to ‘pause’ an ad group. However my credit details are still held on Google. I do not like this and want to cancel all my accounts so I may start afresh, is this possible and if so how?

I just want to advertise a legitimate website using a basic keyword.

I am pretty sure this will not affect my URL rankings on the Google search engine, can anyone confirm this?

I suppose my only plan now would be to use a friend’s credit card and address for the new campaign?

Advice is much appreciated on this one.

Looking forward to you reply Micromag.

Micromag I read in a post of yours that Adwords "...use cookies, Credit Card info, your IP, GeoTargeting Info and other advanced techniques for tracking the same owner of 2 or more accounts".

Would it not be easier to use the URL of the website as I am sure the other methods can easily be overcome? Does Google use the URL to match accounts?

In addition to the methods already mentioned, yes, they also associated a URL with your account. If you can't get google to reinstate you, you will probably not be able to use adwords for that domain.

If you get around the above, use a new domain, and another person registers for the adwords account, then its they probably aren't going to be able to associate you with the new domain and account.

You didn't go into details, but getting banned from adwords isn't something that is easy to do.

Yes, they've linked all your accounts and the problem is your first account.

"multiple disapprovals" normally means that you've tried to insist in promote something that violates Googles Content Policy. (e.g. Gambling, Adult content,...).

pause the campaign and send a email to the support asking to cancel the account - I would not concern with your CC info stored there.

    no, don't affect
I don't think is possible - I never hear about someone banned that could get in again.

I'm not sure: but probably they use check the url during the account under verification period.

I would promote another Url on first 3 weeks of account life.

Could I use the a varient of the same domain, i.e. .biz istead of the current .com (which we presume is banned).

Also how is Google linking my accounts? I think it may not be URL linked because what about people who promote other peoples websites?

Also are you suggesing I email Google to close all my accounts (this would be great). Will Google do this, or is this just regarded as a 'pause'. They no longer reply to anyof my emails thought. "Please note that our support team is unable to help you with this issue and we ask that you do not contact them about this matter"

    Thanks

this would be a completely new domain

they use a lot of your computer data: ip, cookies, browser, browser version, flash version, resolution, etc..

they use your geotargeting: city, map position (based on ip)

they use you account data created during under review process: keywords used, targeted url

This is not needed: if you send a email to close your account they will only block your access to this account, they will not delete the account from Google databases

is only a virtual delete - is the same when you delete a campaign or a account.

Do not made a mistake of login again in this account again: every time you login on your old accounts or every time they catch and ban you they collect more data about you to keep you away from Adwords (I love this phrase :D )

    Very specific answer hum?

if you create a myDomain.biz as landing page that just forward to myDomain.com, AdWords system is smart and consider only the very last page as landing page: myDomain.com

So you would need to migrate or clone your page to myDomain.biz and/or forward your customers from myDomain.com to myDomain.biz

Can't switch main domain as it has too many links to loose. I suppose best thing would be .biz varient which would then require the user to click a link to got to the .com (full website). Is this possible?

Not a good idea as you would loose traffic.

a very good estimation: only 30% of the users would click the link.

also AdWords require content on landing page - they do not approve pages under construction for example.

Try creating your adwords account and drive some very cheap traffic to some dummy page somewhere. after 3 weeks running the account (after they review your account) switch to your .com site and see what happens.

I have a NEW email from Google Adwords. This was sent to may company account (the other 'harsh' email was sent to my personal account). I would now like some advice on replying to this email to re-activate my account.

    "Thank you for your email.

It has come to our attention that your Google AdWords account does not
comply with our terms of service and advertising policies. You have
repeatedly submitted ads that violated our prohibited documents policies in this or a related account. As a result, your account has been suspended and
your ads will no longer run on Google.

As noted in our Terms and Conditions, Google reserves the right to
terminate advertisements for any reason. To view our Terms and Conditions,
    please visit https://adwords.google.co.uk/select/tsandcsfinder.

    We appreciate your cooperation."

What should I say in reply to un-block my account?

I plan to spend major money with adowords (10,000+). Shall I tell them the company is in new hands and then apologise?

What is the best course of action?

Thanks all, advise and wisdom appreciated!

SUCCESS - I'VE RECOVERED THE ACCOUNT
    Finally I could get in the system again. How I did is as follows;
First, I told them it s not right that they re giving away promotions to anyone which results in my high pay-outs. So I did take some free coupons too to neutralise.
After, I responded as I m the chief of company and we hire professionals to manage Adwords and the latest pro did something which might be against your TOS. We do not hire that pro again. So, activate the account, pls.
I also phoned them saying the same. Upon this, they ask to verify my credit card and ID faxing them photocopies. I did and they activated the account again...
    It's now working...

Google Uses Cookies to detect your relationships with different adwords accounts.

Lemme know if you are interested in Gambling promotion on Adwords.
