If they are in different peoples name they might not find them. I would just use one and close others.

All accounts are hosted with Google. So they are on the same IP

I think you can use mutiple accounts..that's what MCC is for. I have three ad accounts plus a MCC account. I would like to hear where you see Google won't allow you to use mutiple accounts, as long as you're doing totally different ads/different keywords in each account, you're fine. Most of use are NOT advertising for ourselves or our own businesses, we're advertising for others, we're Adwords Professionals :)

You will not get banned untill you do something really wrong.
Multiple account with diff CC will not get banned for sure.

Use different name AND different phone number. I heard they let you have upto 5 accounts without doing difficult.

It seems that multiple accounts is NOT allowed (unless you are using MCC). However, google says:
Now does this mean that they are OK with multiple accounts as long as they dont have same / similar businesses ? Seems like I'm bending the definitions over here...
And if the answer is 'Yes', then who decides what 'similar' is and what isn't. If I promote 2 businesses - one for computer software store, and another for a specific anti-virus software, are they 'similar' businesses???

I've been toying with the idea of having 1 adwords account to test campaigns/keywords and 1 to actually run those campaigns after keying in on the right keywords, ads, etc, from the test account.

That way you have a great History and lower CPC for the account that matters.

I've heard of servral affiliates doing this. But the notion that one day I could wake up and find myself banned from AdWords does not sit well with me...

I would use both account to bid on the same keywords, BUT NOT AT THE SAME TIME. So it's cutting it close with what the TOS spells out.

Just use MCC and link them all up and you will be fine.
