http://www.brint.com Uses up to 3 Adsense banners on each page. It does this by putting in an alternative ad link to a html file on the brint.com site that has the adsense code on it. Thus instead of displaying a blank empty box, it displays more Adsense ads. My question is, is Brint getting paid for the other 2 sets of Adsense ads and if they are how are they getting paid? The ads are being serverd from a page that contains no tracking information as to which Adsense account the clicks are coming from. It almost seems as if this site is shooting itself in the foot by offering Adsense ads that it won't even be credited for. I have found running multiple Adsense accounts with iframes to work just fine, but this was just another way that had me curious if it actually works.
3 adsense units and 1 adlink as far as I remeber. As long as you have an overall good content then you can place even on pages without lots of content, thats the way I see it.
I reviewed the TOS the other day. It will work with more ads... but 3 ad units (including ad links) + 2 searches That's the limit. And the proper way to do it, is just to add the adsense code wherever you want the ads. (of course no hiding the ads or anything like that, but their placement guidelines are pretty relaxed)
Here it is from the horses mouth. The official google plicy is: - Up to three ad units may be displayed on each Web site page. - A maximum of two Google AdSense for search boxes may be placed on a page. - A single link unit may be placed on each Web site page, in addition to the ad units and search boxes specified above. Link units are considered to be 'Google ads' for purposes of these program policies. So you can have up to 6 adsense units on your page, 3 ad units, 1 link and 2 searches.
I believe from what I have seen today that if you placed your adsense code 30 times on a page, that Google will only display the code in the first 3 positions. Can anyone confirm this? If this is the case, it makes it easier for some of us...
You are right. I swear that I looked at this a week ago and it was 3 including ad links, but you are right. https://www.google.com/adsense/policies
I'm certain at somepoint it did say 3 including ad links - I noticed it had changed about a week ago. I don't know when it actually changed though.

I have been running multiple ad sets on most of my sites. I have noticed a big variation on eCPM on certain segments. These are segments with a high number of bidders in Adwords so you have bids from the minimum of 0.10 to several dollars. By having several ad sets on a page am I diluting eCPM since I will display more ads including lower bidders? It's nice to offer more opportunities for my visitors to click on an ad but it seems like it lower the eCPM.
