Multiple AdSense click weirdos

After I installed Astracker, I noticed that a good number of site visitors click multiple ads. 4-5 ads is not uncommon.

Today, a person found one of my pages by executing this search:

    http://search.yahoo.com/search?p=ly...arch&fr=FP-tab-web-t-1&toggle=1&cop=&ei=UTF-8

    They found this page:

    http://www.fortliberty.org/patriotic-songs/youre-a-grand-old-flag.shtml

They then proceeded to click 28 AdSense ads.

The page displays 13 AdSense ads. They visited some advertisers 4 times.

I can imagine no explanation for this behavior.

Ya, it seems your ads are blended so well for the person that he thinks it's regular navigation.

Can I get a link please to "Astracker" I tried googleing :) Nada Unless your using the 99$ script I find searching.

People are strange.. that is for sure.. Who knows what it is...

But let us all speculate our best guess...

The user just installed a new porn toolbar... and it had an auto-gif display in the upper right hand corner of his screen. The problem is the alignment was off and it was blocking his viagra tracker. So he was just clicking back and forth to adjust page settings and displays to make everything line up properly.

    Will,
I have the same experience, 4-5 clicks from one are not uncommon. If you click on the IP link in astracker it does a nice job of showing how many clicks from an IP so it's easy to see the freaks. I think I've seen someone click maybe ten ads but 28 is quite impressive. I always assume that Google stops counting after 3 or 4 but then again you gave them the click and they gave the advertiser a visitor.

It makes me wonder, if a visitor returns to your site, does Google redisplay the ad they clicked on? I think I've seen the same IP click the same ad within minutes but I haven't tracked it.

    Will,
It is fentastic - you blended the ads so well (ads look like main content :D ) that user confuses after he come again with pressing <- button. They might confused which one they clicked earlier, so click the same again - or may see a new ad this time lol :D
There is nothing against TOS so NO WORRY dude

Did you get paid for those 28 clicks? I had a visitor click over 70 times but I don't think they got counted.

That doesn't seem all that weird to me. Keep in mind that the typical user doesn't think like a web publisher. To most users they are "links", not advertisements. They are simply clicking on links of interest to them. Some people will use it like they would a search engine, clicking, going back, clicking again, etc.

That is one of the reasons those spammy scraper type of sites do so well.

I had experience with 6 clicks from (I guess) one user. (It was 1 impression with 6 clicks), but I didnt know wheter it's paid all or not.
But 28 clicks from one visitors? Man .. you're kidding :D
