Would there be any way to help these units display ads?

And I'm running a forum so adding more "content" won't do. What else can I do? Am I allowed to put lots of words around the ads in the attempt to make them show?

google doesn't allow ads beyond 3 units; they just won't appear.

I know this. I have 3 units on a page, and most of the time only 1 or 2 will display ANY ads

I have the same thing happening and I am working behind a firewall.

If you are seeing 1 or 2 adds displaying out of three it may not necessarily be the same result for a vistitor to your domain.

I've been having this problem too. The AdSense preview tool shows that there are plenty of ads to display, but it still only displays one or two out of five on the second ad spot.

its normal especially if the content detected by adsense don't have enough ad inventory to display. 2-3 adsense is effective on high demand niche.

pretty much, maybe add more content rich with different keywords to your page but that may do more harm than good

even though google allows up to 3, the first 1 may fill in right away, but it can take a few days, or longer, for the other 2 to fill in.

That what seems to happen on my sites. The first ad fills in right away, but ads 2 and 3 are just blank space for 2 or 3 days, even a few weeks in some cases. But they do seem to fill in eventually.

By the way, I've been reading in other posts the having 2 or 3 adds doesn't help, in fact you earn less money, I plan on taking at least 1 of mine down.
