Multiple add positions per page

I may or may not be doing this right. I have specified 3 different ad formats in my CP. Now I am trying to get 2 of them to display on the same page. One in the header and One in the footer. I use the advertising phpBB mod to rotate them out with other ads however when the header and footer both show DP ads the footer does not show. Only the header will show. Is there a limitation of only 1 ad per page with DP ads even if they have different formats? Or is it something on my end?

    Thanks for any replies :)

No, you should be able to display more than one. What's a URL you are seeing it happen like that?

I have changed the ad rotation a bit for you to preview it. The footer will always show the DP ad. The header may take 1-2 refreshes however when you do see the DP ad in the header the footer ad won't show. They use 2 separate ad formats as well. Let me expand a bit by saying they are still showing the default "Your ad here" if that makes a difference?

Should be fixed now... was a combination of a bunch of different obscure things. But either way, reload the page and let me know if it's not working for you (seems to be for me).

I'm having the same problem with ads on 2 of my sites, one is oaua.net/community/ (appears to work now), and community.omahaevent.com (using the same ads, it doesn't work). I have 3 ad placements for guests, 2 336x228 ads at the top side by side (using adsense as a backend), and a 250x250 square in the right sidebar. Sometimes they show up, sometimes they don't. I don't know what the deal is with them. Can we have 2 336x228 ads side by side on a page?

Looks like it works to me... I went to http://community.omahaevent.com/ and I see two ads side by side (336x280). Reloaded the page 10 times, and every time both ads show for me.

Are you using a specific browser/platform that causes it to not show for you maybe?

I'm using FF 3.6, and it appears that randomly sometimes they appear, sometimes they don't, but it's always the right 336x228 and the sidebar that don't appear. I didn't have this type of problem when they were just adsense ads. Maybe I'll give it a day for things to settle in?

But yes, at the moment, they appear to be working. Thanks for the quick reply.

Hmmm... well I don't see any issues on the site with Chrome, Safari or Firefox and I reloaded a ton of times. Do you have any plug-ins or anything installed on your browser?

Strange... maybe your browser had something corrupt in it's cache (happens once in awhile). But nothing changed on this end, so...

Well, now I give up. It appears that IE 8 is now poopin' the bed on these ads. I'll try to find out if its something with the css or something. I hate CSS

Good ol' IE... :) I'm setting up a test environment that will be specific to your site and IE8... so hopefully will figure out what is going on exactly.

I can confirm that in IE8, the google adsense ads show up correctly when used on the page side by side, but the digital point ads don't.

This is a sample page with the digital point ads...
    http://omahaevent.com/digitalpointads.html

This is the same page with just the adsense integration...

Go ahead and flush your cache and see if it's working now in IE8.

Turns out Google is serving AdSense slightly differently for Internet Explorer. So I switched some logic to be based on selectors of the DOM vs. checking if a string exists.

Internally the system makes sure an AdSense ad has loaded before it tries to load the 2nd one so it was checking if the string "iframe" existed within the ad rendering area. For IE, Google is serving it as "IFRAME" (uppercase), so the check was failing and was never moving on to the next ad.

I changed it to instead check for a DOM object of an iframe, that way it's not case sensitive and is based on the actual HTML object vs. the HTML that creates the object.
