Multiple Accounts

What's the deal with setting up another account?

    My two reasons are one:
    1. Branding, would like to create a name that relates to who I am (business).
    2. Clean slate, would like business completely seperate to personal account.

I can purchase a name change, but this would still leave all my personal transactions and dealings, as well as posts I have made.

Is this allowed? I would no longer use this account.

Accounts are not deleted nor are they closed. Your only option if you are not satisfied with your userid is to pay to change it.

I'll happily pay to change my username, but all my posts will be left intact.

Can I pay $25 (or was it $50?) and create a new account instead?

You're not getting an answer in affirmative here.
    It's a rule.
    They don't do it!

Even if by chance you are allowed to create a new business account , there is no way your old posts from the old account will be deleted.

    Nopes, you can't.

Its not PayPal where you can create a Personal as well as a Business account. :p

So basically you want to bribe them to make you a duplicate account, eh?

Clearly you need to look up the definition of bribe.

If I can pay whatever the amount is for a name change, I see no reason why I cannot pay that, but create a new account with a different name. It is no different to having a name change, bar the fact that I would have no posts on my account.

If you read the thread from start to finish, you'll see that I want a new account without my previous posts. Obviously there are two options, one would be change the username and delete the posts, two would be create a new account. Option one isn't going to happen, I was merely explaining that changing my username would still leave my posts intact.

Please learn to read in future and not jump to conclusions.
