Multiple accounts in PayPal?

Discussion in 'PayPal' started by zappy, Jul 17, 2006.

Seems the maximum money that i can take out from a verified business account in India is capped to $2500. If i were to receive say 5000 a month, can i open 2 accounts with different CC's and same name? Or do they raise the cap if we request?

    Thanks for your help...

You can not open more than 1 account with the same people.

They do "raise the cap", but I doubt if they would for any marginal increment. Consider using xoom.com to cash your paypal funds.

I have several accounts with PayPal and I transfer and swap fund between them so that I can withdraw as much as I can at anytime.

Contact them and see what they have to say.
If not, talk to your family members (18+) and see if they are willing to take responsibility.

Not true, you are allowed to have 1 Personal and 1 Business Account; I am pretty sure about that.

I don't think having multiple accounts is an issue here evergreensj, but are they in the same name as far as business name is concerned? so that you can deposit the withdrawals in the same bank account even if they come from different paypal account

I don't get how people can keep saying they only allow one account. I personally have several and was advised by Paypal that this was the preffered way for me to do things.

I actually tried to have one account and they pushed me in the other direction.

    Am I missing something?

I used the same business name on all of them. Obviously I have different emails. In my case, I wanted to create payment buttons on each of my sites. You can't do more then one type with one account so they told me to set up an account for each.

My info is the same on each account (although a different Credit Card for each)

I only have one legal company name

Thanks for the confirmation, yfs1. that was the information I was looking for.:)
so it seems you can have multiple accounts in the same business name. I am assuming they have the same business address as well, yfs1 :)

Yes, I didn't fake any info...Just filled it out exactly like you normally would.

Paypal gets a bad rap but they always responded to me quickly. I had the problem with creating unique payment buttons and emailed them. They gave me the green light for multiple accounts and I was off ;)
