Hello, I am planning to make a personal website for myself. But i am also related with many international things, so i also need English language option for my website. I am planning to put gallery, blog, portfolio and similar stuff. But i have some curious parts. Should i make visitor choose language at main page? when you go www.domain.com there will be a welcome page with language option and you will redirected to proper section of site as your language option. But i guess just putting a basic html page with 2 language option is not so great. You know Website are having revolution every day so i need something more technologic. Any ideas?
I don't know exactly how to do it, but try to determine the language that a person speaks from the country that they are visiting from. I think you could determine their country from their IP address and then you could redirect them to the correct language automatically. Always give them the option of changing the language though, becuase you may get it wrong!
You could put all you'r text in variables, and put them in different files for each language. Then you can include the file in your index page.
