Multi replace words in excel

    Hello to you all,
    I am looking for a software or function in excel that can replace bulk of words.
    That mean that I have a list of words. coulm a the old word colum b new word.
    I wanna replace the words that is in a word document (i can copy the document to excel if needed).

    Hi,
    First, i don't know how to build a macro.
    Second, I have a few thousands words that i want to replace.
    That is why i'm looking for a function in the excel or software.

    Try opening the file with macromedia dreamweaver. They have a good find/replace tool. It is great when working with multiple html files that need lots of replacing.

    This probably isn't the best forum to be posting this type of question though. Try finding an excel specialized forum.

    Try a program that simulates keystrokes and/or mouseclicks. Only needs basic functions, ability to press Ctrl key down for copy/paste, find/replace etc. I recommend AutoHotKey.

    A simple macro will do the job but explaining how to create a macro is beyond the scope of a reply - google it, macro guides have been on the net for years!
