Multi-Page Posts bad for SEO?

    I'm considering using this plugin to deal with posts that are longer than 500 words. I'm confused on how SEO works with that though.

    If half of the backlinks are linking to the first page, and the other half are linking to the second page, aren't you handicapping your rankings?
