Multi-language site

Using WIX html5 editor to build a multi-language site for a non-profit. It currently doesn't have multilanguage support as a tool, so I've had to create two separate websites with separate domains in 1 language each and link to each other. Since the content is 95% the same, will there be any problems aside from split traffic? Will Google and other search engines rank or list my pages poorly? What are the consequences (if any) of doing things this way?

I'm using WIX because although I am making the website now, someone who doesn't know code might have to edit it later.

If you are using two sites with the same content but in diifferent languages I see no problem. Why would there be, the wording will differ slightly and presumably you will be targetting different places anyway.

I may be wrong but I can't see why a problem would exist. Just out of interest are you targetting goegraphically ended URL's like for example .uk .dk or such like?
