Hi, Its hard to see why without seeing the actual flash file and how you have built it. But you are not going about it the right way. you have pre-set positions for the in and out movement of your images, but for instance, the second image should slide to the left from whereever it is (when you rollover from image 1, to image 2, image 2 should animate left from its actualy position, not its very first starting position). Does that make any sense? probably not, but that is why you are getting the funny effects. The best way to achieve this is via code, but im sure you can find some better image rollover effects you can download for free. Also, why are you not using AS3?
Thanks for the response that did make sense however i have no idea how to do that.. I am using AS2 because I found it easier... this is my first time using flash
