The blog looks good so far. I would add some warm colours as using white, blue and silver only will give your blog a "cold" feel.

Another suggestion is to create a more visually appealing header, otherwise, good work so far.

The template is gorgeous! The quality of the posts are really good too.
Maybe you should change the paypal rule though, I want to join but I don't really like the idea of having to empty my paypal because that way I can't just buy things online when I feel like it. Maybe you could change the rule to members having to say what's in their account and what they added to it themselves? Maybe that way more people would join the competition.
