You need to watch this when a big company like MTV start to warn people you need to sit up and realise what's going on in the world.
I was expecting a bunch of screaming girls and bitch fights when I opened the thread...never knew people at MTV had the brains to do anything like this
Mtv do whatever they think is trendy. It's a channel for people who protest against the war by decorating their laptop bag. If what they are saying had any basis in reality do you think they would be permitted to make and broadcast adverts like that?
They are big budget ads, I don't think every ad would need to be permitted by a governing body because MTV is so big, but America is going towards a martial state!
They are just a TV station. If what they are saying was true they simply wouldn't be allowed to make adverts like that. Do you think that in nazi Germany during the holocaust TV stations would be allowed to broadcast adverts decrying hitler and his policies? of course not. Please, don't base your world view on adverts for music tv stations.
The ad is not targeted at selling a product or service! America is full of propaganda and if they don't speak out now they won't have a chance when it comes down to it. Check out the web and you will see whats happening everywhere. The American Government are just like Hitlers men they just don't have swastikas everywhere!
So the Irish and the british are arguing about the pathetic condition and lack of democracy in US based on an MTV ad. Ironic.
It's selling a philosophy and promoting a TV station. It's an Mtv advert, for Mtv. It's designed to appeal to people who like to go on about "the man" without ever being able to identify any specific grievances. For the third time, do you think TV stations in nazi Germany during the holocaust could have broadcast an advert decrying Hitlers policies?
What? Where did I mention Ireland or England? The second time you mean! and I gave you an answer after the first time you asked me! and Hitler is not here! not in power and the holocast is over, and those ads against Hitler could have been air before he got into power, you might want to go and look up how Hitler came to power! after Hitler gained power those ads being aired would have meant death!
You are from Ireland and Stox is from England. And you both are arguing about how Americans are like Nazi's.. LOL
Not the people but the Government, its the propaganda like starting a war and blaming it on someone else and making people believe everyone out side the country is an enemy, just like Hitler did to the Germans.
Right... so if Mtv, and you, are claiming the current government is comparable to Hitlers nazis and the holocaust why, if airing the adverts would result in death, are they doing it? You are seemingly unaware that Mtv are a corporate TV station there to make money, they are promoting their brand. And the promotion of a brand requires attaching it to a philosophy that will appeal to their target audience.
Corporate or not, not all people are brainwashed into believing their Governments I'm guessing you believe your Government! And yes they are comparable to Hitlers men can you show me anything that can dismiss what I am saying? Americans love their country and MTV are a part of that, they don't want the current ways to change. Bush caused the deaths of millions of people just like Hitler did!
You want me to show you evidence that something is not happening? What would qualify? What, besides the fact that it isn't happening of course, could demonstrate that it isn't happening? Well i'll wait to see what pepsi have to say about it...
Big companies will start to turn on the new ways because it will mean bad business. MTV or even Pepsi it does not matter people are starting to wake up, its even starting to happen here in Ireland we have armed guards increasing and the same goes for England, In Ireland our constitution says the Army can not act like guards so Martial law would mean Police having full control. These are just a few, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UgMx2F41XD0 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IUJl_wZezR0 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bl6RXRHMXwE http://www.nowpublic.com/world/u-s-army-unit-deploy-american-streets http://www.democracynow.org/2008/10/7/us_army_denies_unit_will_be http://www.mndaily.com/2010/03/24/america-under-martial-law http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=71Jux68F_AQ
And they would allow that would they? This super powerful global elite are powerless against a soft drinks manufacturer and a TV station that shows music videos? None of what you are saying makes any sense.
Its not about making money its about control, Americans don't want to be treated like the Jews were, and MTV is just showing people what's going on while they can and before its too late, I don't trust big companies but when a major company like MTV shows ads that have no other meaning other than to show other Americans what's happening now in their own country you need to question things. These ads are only promoted on MTV stations not other stations to promote MTV but to its own viewers.
I think the fact that you use adverts promoting a music TV station to form your world view should make you want to question things, namely your ability to reason, in a far more important way. There are arguments to be made that governments getting too much control, but Mtv using the scenario in an advert isn't one of them.
Did you even watch the video? You think I made the ads they way you are talking! try actually looking at the video. I even gave you evidence above did you even look at those because you have nothing to say about them!?
They all do it for the same reasons. it's because they try to appeal to their demographic by pretending to be a part of a philosophy that is important to the people who they want their product to appeal to. What you are claiming is as rediculous to claiming snowboarding is good, because pepsi depict it in their adverts. It's an advert, judging by the importance to attach to it, a very successful viral one. I mean really, is this the best you have? A advert promoting Mtv?
