MSSQL connection question

After installing MSSQL on my windows server, I go to
Program Files > MSSQL Server > Query Analyzer > Connect to SQL Server and I get an error:

    "Unable to connect to server.
Not associated with a trusted SQL server connection"

What does that mean how/where can I remedy this?

    Thanks.

You can see an icon of ms sql on the task bar, you can there if its running or not, from the symbol of play and stop. If its on stop it simply means you dont have connection just right click it and click play/connect. If it still don't work, go ms sql, enterprise manager, list the databases then connect..
