I do like features of this search engine, but I don't think it is going to challenge the big three for a while. If it does, the big three will just duplicate the cool features.

I did use snap.com ages ago as a search engine before Google existed. Funny to see they are back.

Their new site is far too slow though in my opinion. Simple and ugly (but fast) pages are probably best for search engines.

How much of a bargain is PPT versus PPC? Are the pay outs for PPTs substantially more?

It is really just "CPA" -- Cost Per Action, where action can be a sale of a product or a filled out lead form. It is also called being an affiliate... you can do it now, no need to wait for the future.

I think if there's anyone who wants to join the game, they must have a super-duper new technology to stand any kind of chance. The top3 are really HUGE players, and I agree with mystik on that,...it's going to be very hard trying to join the game. One thing we do know for sure. If snap.com is making a come back, DP members will be the first to figure out how to rank high in that search engine :D

Though YPN is one among the top three, its not repsonding timely for Affiliate requests.

Yeah, it is quite different. But a bit slow for my liking. I think it it's a bit too graphic. Hence the lack of speed. The suggestion words are slowing it down too! Lots of work to do before they go anywhere near Yahoo, MSN & the others. Let alone the big "G"! I think Google is pretty safe for next gazillion years!

I don't think "cost per transaction" have any future for big search engines.
Should require to much administrative resource with the amount of advertisers have the big players.

I like it a lot but it needs a bit more work before it can take over the major search engines. ;)

It's a pretty cool SE. I like the preview of the sites, much easier to filter.

I say that google suck my ass. The only reason why they are good is because they have succeeded very well in marketing. There are 1000 of better SE's but they all fail on marketing, not anything else.

It looks cool. I like the preview you get of the site, it could be useful in spotting a spam site before actually visiting it. However I don't see it standing much of a chance against the top 3.

I just started playing with snap.com and I must say it has some flair.
It was very useful to find images realted sites and cheking some competitors web design.

I would like to view a summary of the site from the metatags, though. Sometimes the site won't tell you enough.
Also, google PR, alexa Rank, etc. would be nice choosing a site in this interface

Interesting site but I don't think the big boys need to worry...
They can't even bring down each other:) People have different tastes, needs and like variety.

Does that mean slow? at least 70% of web users do not have broadband...
Maybe you could call that niche marketing?

Sites optimized for dial-up are even faster on broadband....
