Definitely an update. - http://www.webmasterworld.com/forum97/838.htm Some very different SERPs: - http://search.msn.com/results.aspx?q=cars&FORM=QBHP - http://search.msn.com/results.aspx?q=used+cars&FORM=QBRE - http://search.msn.com/results.aspx?q=new+cars&FORM=QBRE - http://search.msn.com/results.aspx?q=auto+insurance&FORM=QBRE (look at the last result on this one)
I think we can figure that out without having to visit another forum. http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=88671
Same old bitching. Everything except your own pages are labeled as spam. If 1 of your 10 keywords went bad the new changes are bad. Bitch bitch whine whine. Always the same. Try to stick to the business more than 5 months and you'll notice this isnt even interesting enough to write a thread about. Try a model where you actually make money even if your site isnt on the first page. Now that'd be something.. woudlnt it..
there are tons like affiliate programs and then do an adwords campaign. or you can do viral marketing for a site of yours or you can do a sales page for a certain product and do a newsletter campaign.. My objective is to provide information about what is going on w/ the search engines for beginers to advanced SEO's.. seoking must have a stick up his asss to be so harsh. Either that or he wants to show everyone how great he is but as we all know the jar with a few quarters makes more noise then a jar full of quarters. (quarters being knowledge durrr)
I am seeing many duplicate content sites using keyword stuffed URLs so yeah it looks like spam to me.
results seem better in msn to me.. check my first post. looks like more authority sites are finally showing up in the top 10
Try this search and make note of the URLs http://search.msn.com/results.aspx?q=paper+folder&Form=MSNH
Ofcourse, 1) Sell a product that gives enough margin to afford ppc traffic as a supplement to your normal seo tactics. Accessories for mobile phones, ringtones, sms services, accessories to computers etc.. smaller things. With large margins. 2) Sell a product that has enough margin to afford to pay affiliates to drive traffic to your page. Tshirts, e-books, electronic gadgets, software. 3) Create a website that has enough value for a visitor to voluntarily return. Provide unique content that isnt just about one topic. Update regularly. This might be a blog, but I'd advise to find something more original. 4) Create a website that is good enough/funny enough to spread thru recommendations / word of mouth (viral). This often includes mediarich "hip" sites, such as a community, a webpage that provides a service like flickr, youtube etc. (You think those guys has 100% of the market? Think again, there will ALWAYS be place for a service that does things the way YOU think is the best - This is how I make my living.) These four are just from the top of my head and made up from looking around my room and from what friends/affiliates to me does for a living. And to all you FU CK ERS that keep giving me anonymous red because you're clueless morons: _piss off_
I would like to add something that will help you to rank well with the current MSN algo. Make sure your domain name has your keywords in it. So if I am selling tennis shoes, I would purchase the domain of tennisshoesexpress or something like it and then I would create a couple of subfolders called tenninsshoes and name the webpage tennisshoes.htm. That will rank you well in MSN with the current algo.
This isnt just great for MSN but all SE's across the board. a ways back words run together like tennisshoesexpress.com would not be pickedup by se's and you would have to seperate by -.. technology has since been updated and will accept words run together.. FYI for anyone not in the KNOW.. good tip gazelle!
yes, but i don't think it is a major update. my keyword got dropped to the 2nd page, but i am confident that if I do some update on my on page optimization, I will get picked up again
Some very new keyword stuffed sites with Keyword stuffed URLs have filled top rankings in MSN. They need to improve their algo badly to be able to compete with G. I see that some authority sites have completely dropped from first pages to 3rd or 4th page, which shouldn't be happening. New spammy sites are gaining rankings on MSN.
i just checked msn and yahoo for some car keywords...and the first 5 are the same on both engines..and 100% spam links
