Sorry but I dont like MSN's platform. It stinks. I especially don't like the fact that they dissaprove 90% of what you impliment. The volume is so low I don't usually waste my time. I stick to google and sometimes yahoo.
I have read on some forums that though you may not get good volumes you get good conversion rates with adcenter.. What's your experience with conversion. What kind of ads do they usually allow..
I agree with one thing you say : it is probably a waste of time because not lot of people using msn for the search.
depends on what your promoting the volume is alot lower but sometimes the conversion rates can be much better than google and yahoo
Yes volume is low, but much cheaper. If you don't have much of a budget and you have a little patience, it'll be worth it, but don't put your eggs all in one basket. Google Adwords for sure. I like to spread mine out between several ad centers.
Hi Justinmg77, Compacttuner is correct in stating that the volume depends on the product or service that you are promoting. He is also correct in stating that the conversion rates can be better with adCenter then with Google and Yahoo! For some great information on using Microsoft adCenter I would suggest taht you check out the Microsoft adExcellence program. The Microsoft adExcellence program is an official accreditation program that gives each advertiser the opportunity to become a Microsoft adCenter expert. The program offers free training materials and a fee-based examination that give our adCenter advertisers the opportunity to gain valuable adCenter knowledge and demonstrate their expertise. Here is the link to the site: http://adexcellence.com/adEx/Start.aspx adCenterRep
Yeah, adcenter only costs me a couple dollars a month because we hardly get any clicks, as opposed to google where we get a lot.
sorry to disagree. Costs are lower and much higher ROI, at least for my advertising. I have several product and info related websites I promote on all three, G, Yah and Adc. and the best return for my money is Adcenter... and they do have high traffic searches, I guess it depends on your products. MSN has somehow a little older age search population and not as many infopreneurs, therefore less interest for money opportunities etc. my product sites do extremely well, like different toys now for the holidays etc.
It is probably good for the advertiser but not good for the publisher. I would like to try it out though. I'm getting about 1.3 million page views a day with my website but I have no idea how to apply for the AdCenter program. Can you please show me how adCenterRep?
They didn't work for me either...but then then sent me a free $50 voucher in the mail to try them again..
If you think MSN adCenter is a waste of time you are missing out on a potential chunk of business. It may not bring the most traffic and the interface isn't very good, but there are lots of potential customers there and not as much competition.
I agree. In fact, I notice some of the Fortune 500 websites have MSN ads running in their sites. It appears that MSN has an appeal of being elite in PPC.
