www.rebou .co.uk 'buy island' http://search.msn.co.uk/results.aspx?q=buy+island&srch_type=0&FORM=QBRE 'buy risk' and many more - I havent checked further into it yet... but is this spam ? No keywords onpage, high BL (70000) but PR 3 only. Any explanation ?
It seems to me to be more than just mirror sites, I believe they are also cloaking. There is some funny redirects in there and they have some pages set up for different bots. I found a sitemap page and a botsitemap page which those pages were different and had some nice little redirects on them. Look at the source code for the Bot sitemap, you will get a kick out of it.

MSN need to get their s*** together if they want to take over some market share from Google. They will need to do a lot to ensure that their rankings aren't affected as easily as they are at the moment. I mean, they are still using title tags, keywords densities etc. for their SERPs .... very 1990! Of course, having said that ....... 1. I do like MSN better at the moment, due to my own rankings. 2. There are a lot of people out there (probably the big chunk of SE users) who can't tell quality search results from manipulated ones. And, these are the people who will watch a flash TV advert and log on to MSN, instead of Google. Good for us, I suppose!
I am not a tattletale but I can't stand greedy people, they should have 1 site and be number 1 for it, not 2 with the same content...that pisses me off.
I agree with you Sitetutor...greedy.....lol Shoot not like it takes freakin rocket science to get a top position in MSN. For all the work they could have done it regular and not worry about being toasted.... Funny thing is, they think #3 and down is just gonna let them keep it? Duh..... if it was one page...might have been missed frankly. But two positions, same content lmao!! That's a freakin invite to get flamed.... Cheers
LOL the real funny thing is one of my sites is that # 3..hahahaha. I have already taken action. Their position is short lived. I just cant believe someone would be that stupid and blatant in their spam and cloaking. I havent checked whois yet, but I am curious who the site owner is. So I know to stay away from them for any future links. Its sad but true the real estate industry for seo has become as bad as the por*, so I guess it doesnt surprise me really.
And is that supposed to be a bad thing? If so, about 99% of all the websites are in big trouble LOL. ~VegasMack
let us know how effective that spam reporting is do those comment tags do anything? <!-- Century 21 - Las Vegas Real Estate, Las Vegas homes for sale, Henderson Real Estate and Las Vegas golf course communities. --> Did you put those in there to ...... what did you put those in there for?
Comment tags have little if any bearing on rankings in any of the major SE IMHO. It is one way to keep track of where you are in notepad when working on multiple sites in multiple markets. I believe it does count to KW density though in some SE. Sorry… No magic bullet here. It’s best just to grind out original content, keep it fresh and build relevant back links with good strong link partners. ~VegasMack
Here's another I stumbled across.. I'm sure there are many more cases of such mirror sites ranking well in MSN. http://search.msn.com/results.aspx?q=hostales+londres&FORM=QBRE
Yup, there is another one, but as committed as MSN is to being the best, I think these incidents will soon be resolved. ~VegasMack
This MSN search: http://search.msn.com/results.aspx?q=acme+technologies&srch_type=0&FORM=QBRE brings up both my main site and store site as 1+2 and 3+4, but both of the secondary entries are exactly the same page (at least at the time msn cached them). I don't need that, would rather that when I have indented secondary entries under a primary one it be a different one of my pages (which google does consistently). http://www.google.com/search?q=acme+technologies&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8
