MSN Showing Keywords

MSN seems to be picking up lots of new pages on my site, but on one listing I saw it first lists the meta description and then it lists the first few meta keywords! It looks horrible. Do they always do this?

I have noticed that too. I suggest expounding on your meta description. Don't keyword stuff it though.

Just look at how many characters are showing in the description for MSN and try to equal that in your meta description.

A site search for one of my sites on yahoo shows the inbound anchor text that is used to find the page. When I noticed the titles were like 6 months old is when I realized how many scraper sites were linking to me.

I have a ton of scraper sites linking to me, too. It's like they have a sniffer for my site content. Do search engines penalize for that?

I wonder if this keyword thing in MSN is the reason that, despite being top10 for many keywords in MSN now, I hardly get any clickthroughs from them? It looks spammy with all my keywords showing there. Ugh.

Could very well be the reason. The good thing is MSN is fairly quick to update the changes in it's cache. :)

Yahoo might penalize if bad sites link to you? That would be awful!

I'm glad to hear MSN changes the cache often. :)
