MSN should be renamed to WTF

For ages my site had been ranking towards the very top of a great keyword combo, now it ranks no f'ing where.

WTF is up with MSN! I know somebody farted there, but seriously do we need to call in Jack Bauer when this happens to get stuff done?!?

My site has 8000+ pages and is now only showing a few hundred as being indexed, and the main homepage looks to be missing in action too - is this drop in pages, including homepage a result of that eggy MSN fart?

MSN stop f'ing around and get your act together!

I have also seen a huge drop during the last 10 days and I am not sure what is going on with MSN. Some sites are getting better ranking but sites I have had for years are getting less traffic than ever.
    First Googles and now MSN?????

I'm seeing the same thing. Pages getting dropped and new pages not getting indexed

In my opinion Microsoft missed the boat on this one so HUGE it isn't even funny.

With all the crap that's been going on at Google lately, so many people have been turning over to MSN for their search results/traffic that it was looking incredibly promising for them. With addition of vista coming up, the outlook was great.

There's something to be said for stability, and msn was standing out there as a really decent alternative to googles crappy results.

They've kicked themselves in the face with this update, if they had only rode out the wave created from googles crap results they would be sitting with a much better reputation. Instead this is pushign them back down into the sewer.

Some of my sites have disappeared - some have done well. I have used the same linking methods for all of them! On one site, the home page has disappeared, but inner page ranking has improved considerably. Only 13 of all 139 pages are indexed and I see many others have the same problem.

    Hey Guys,
This happens at times even with Google. This is mostly because of a database update. Give it some time frineds and your sites would be back to normal or may be with a better position ;)

    Cheers

Yes Ravinaz this happens with these SEs. This is natural and expected. We need to wait for few days to get the normal placement

It was this last algo update that happened last week. It was a big mistake and turned the SERPs to pot.

with my new site most of the traffic is coming from msn.
it is about 2 months old and ranks on the first serp page for a dozen keyword phrases. i have seen no change in the last week and can only hope that when things settle down it doesn't get blown away.

After reading all the post about how almost EVERYONE has dropped in ranking with MSN I don't feel as bad. I had made some changes to my index page, and lost the #3 spot on MSN on one of my sites, it was bringing in traffic that actually converted! Hopefully they will have another update soon.

msn search is a load of shit!

i have pages indexed on there that ahvent been on my site for like 5 months now. MSN Search is totally fucked up. They said on the TV AD the new and improved MSN Search.

You sure its been improved?? Maybe just a new design thats it.

My site seems to be bouncing 1 week top rankings then 10 days - 2 weeks gone...then one week on top again...for almost 2 months its been on this cycle.

Its a fairly new site 3 - 5 months...can't keep track of these things anymore...
